IS Manager - Diagnostics and Medical Imaging

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead team responsible for support for Diagnostic and Medical Imaging systems including:
  • Epic Radiant, Epic Cupid, Radiology PACS, Cardiology PACS, Vendor Neutral Archive, Dental Imaging, Ophthalmology Imaging, Cardiac Systems (ECG Management, Device Management), Radiation Oncology (Treatment Planning and Record and Verify Systems)
  • Coordinate system upgrades, migrations, and lifecycle planning across all supported platforms.
  • Maintain high availability, performance, and data integrity of Diagnostic and Medical Imaging systems
  • Collaborate with service line leaders to align IT services with clinical workflows.
  • Manage vendor relationships for Diagnostic and Medical Imaging system technologies.
  • Lead incident response and root cause analysis for system-related outages and performance issues.
  • Supervise team of analysts and engineers; oversee staffing, onboarding, performance management, and professional development.
  • Maintain documentation for system architecture, workflows, and support procedures.
  • Support compliance with HIPAA, FDA, and other regulatory and accreditation requirements.
  • Participate in systems planning for areas of responsibility
  • Participate in the budgeting and procurement process for areas of responsibility

Technical Skills & Knowledge

  • Understanding of server architecture (Windows and Linux environments).
  • Understanding of cloud architecture (Azure, AWS, or equivalent).
  • Understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs) and troubleshooting connectivity.
  • Understanding of IT security principles, including encryption, access control, and vulnerability management.
  • Understanding of ITIL principles.
  • Knowledge of storage systems for large imaging datasets (SAN/NAS, object storage).
  • Understanding of disaster recovery and high-availability design for clinical systems.
  • Understanding of HL7, DICOM, FHIR and IHE standards for interoperability.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Equivalent to Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • A combination of computer related technical training and successively increasing information systems management responsibility may substitute for a degree.
  • Four years of progressively responsible, related work experience, including project supervisory experience, to ensure familiarity with directing all activities relating to software and systems applications.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Work is performed in typical office environment.


Provides direct supervision to a team of full-time employees.


Supervision includes interviewing, hiring decisions, preparing performance evaluations, and recommending personnel action.

Pay Range:

$119,198.35-$196,679.39
