Team Lead Environmental Svcs

SUMMARY

Assign, monitor, direct and assist Environmental Services Attendants in the completion of their daily work. Coordinate discharge cleaning of patient rooms. Distribute supplies to Environmental Services Attendants. Perform other related duties as required. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participates in departmental and/or interdepartmental quality improvement activities.
• Assists with the scheduling and assignment of duties to provide adequate staffing for the department.
• Monitors the performance of staff and reports results to the supervisor.
• Perform routine inspection rounds.
• Perform quality control audits.
• Perform safety rounds.
• Maintains effective and open communication with employees by:
  • Coaching staff and assisting staff with difficult tasks
  • Leading and motivating employees to peak team performance.

KEY FUNCTIONS

• Assists with the training of current and new employees as scheduled and as needed, including:
  • safety management training
  • cleaning policies and procedures
  • area task assignment sheets
• Ensures department and hospital policies and procedures are followed consistently.
• Monitors inventory on an ongoing basis to eliminate waste and provide accountability.
• Distributes needed supplies to Environmental Services employees.
• Coordinates, performs and prioritizes discharge cleaning.
• Performs all duties of an Environmental Services Attendant as described in that position description.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications: High school education or equivalent desired. Minimum of one year experience in the Housekeeping field. Duties also require ability to use simple tools and power equipment.

$18.13-$29.90
