Project Coordinator

Summary:

Under general supervision of the Nurse Manager and/or Principal investigator and in accordance with established policies and procedures responsible for the operation of Project including recruitment implementation programs processes and outcome evaluation of the project.

This position is available based on grant funding and varies by faculty members. 

 

Responsibilities:

Project Coordinator will have all responsibilities of a Senior Research Assistant and the additional responsibilities below.

Continually assesses grant activity to assure compliance with grant requirements assures all required reporting is completed on time.

Assists the Research Nurses and/or principal investigator with protocols intervention plans and recruitment.

Along with the Research Nurses and/or principal investigator aids in training scheduling guidance and counsels to research assistants and other designated staff to ensure high quality recruitment and related data gathering.

Organizes and implements the clinical protocol of the project provides direct services as outlined by the grant criteria.

Maintains IRB submissions revisions continued review and regulatory documentation.

Shadows the Research Nurses Research project director Sr Research Project director research supervisor clinical and/or principal investigator with the intent of learning processes and protocol for:

Professional Service Agreements (PSA)

Check requests

Purchasing

Serious adverse event � safety alerts

Travels to evaluate sites or for other grant-related reasons as required.

Maintains quality assurance safety environmental and infection control in accordance with established hospital department policies and objectives.

Oncore Super User for Cardiology�s clinical research team which entails attending trainings and being the point person for the division � answering any Oncore related questions. They will conduct the divisional training attend quarterly Super User meetings and assist with system upgrades.

Performs other related duties as required. Fosters patient and family centered care in accordance with the Lifespan mission vision and values and the philosophy at The Miriam Hospital. Each employee provides service with consideration of the lifespan including all developmental stages as well as cultural patterns.

 

Other information:

EDUCATION:

Bachelor�s degree required. Master�s degree preferred. Knowledge of research grants administration and current reporting requirements.

EXPERIENCE:

Four years of related experience. Experience above the minimum required may be substitute for the education requirements on a one-to-one basis.
