CARE Person of the Year 2025

Alyssa Springett

Occupational Therapist | Saint Anne’s Hospital

Alyssa has made an outsize impact on patients and colleagues since she started at Saint Anne’s 11 years ago as a graduate student. She began her career in the outpatient pediatric department and later transitioned to acute care. Throughout her tenure at Saint Anne’s, Alyssa has earned accolades, including the 2019 Excellence in Collaboration Award, along with countless thank-you notes and STAR nominations from hospital team leaders, peers, patients, and families.

According to Patty McLaughlin, MS, director of inpatient and ambulatory rehabilitation at Saint Anne’s, “Alyssa leads with empathy, exemplifies teamwork, advocates strongly for her patients, and is highly respected and valued across the organization.” Her nominator and supervisor, Robin Stuessi, PT, describes Alyssa’s work ethic as, “deeply rooted in empathy and emotional sensitivity,” and notes that she always “goes above and beyond routine care, meeting emotional needs and preserving the patient’s dignity during vulnerable moments. She treats her patients as a whole person – not just someone recovering from an injury.”
