Summary: Under the supervision of the Director or Manager
Epidemiology and Infection Prevention for Brown University Health and the Medical Director
Epidemiology and Infection Control is responsible for supporting the
Epidemiology and Infection Prevention team with administrative surveillance
reporting investigation of hospital associated infections(HAIs) and contact
tracing using advanced surveillance techniques.
Responsibilities: PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Aides in investigation and contact tracing of infection in Reviews and reports reportable diseases stipulated by the RI Utilizes local area computer network for the Epidemiology Supports department communication and education/training Performs surveillance activities as designated on an Supports the Epidemiology and Infection Control Department Performs other related duties as required.

Other information: EDUCATION: Bachelor�s Degree in a healthcare related field or public Incumbent must acquire an Associate- Infection Prevention EXPERIENCE: One year of experience in healthcare or public health. Preferred incumbent will have three years� experience in Demonstrated knowledge of the care provided in the tertiary Demonstrated skills with personal computers and software to Demonstrated skill with both verbal and written WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Work is performed in a typical office setting requiring INDEPENDENT ACTION: Incumbent generally establishes own work plans and SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: None.
