The Administrative Assistant for Nursing Operations plays a pivotal role in a rapidly growing and high-impact arm of Nursing Operations that supports nursing practice across all Brown University Health hospitals. This position is ideal for an engaged, highly motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and wants to be part of work that directly supports frontline nursing teams and patient care.
The Administrative Assistant performs a wide range of secretarial and administrative functions in support of the System Director of Nursing Operations, as well as system-wide nursing operations, staffing, and payroll functions. The role requires strong organizational skills, sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while collaborating with leaders and teams across the health system. May include functional supervision or guidance of clerical support staff.

BASIC KNOWLEDGE
- Associate’s Degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in PC-based word processing, spreadsheet, database, scheduling, and collaboration software applications required.
EXPERIENCE
- Three to five years of progressively responsible administrative or secretarial experience, preferably in a healthcare, nursing, or operational support environment.
