Director of ERP Operations

Summary:

The ERP Operations Director is a strategic leadership role responsible for maximizing the value of the Workday ERP platform in the functional areas of Finance HCM and Supply Chain and driving digitial transformation across Brown University Health. This position leads the Workday product vision roadmap and execution strategy. In collaboration with senior and cross-functional leadership ensures alignment with system-wide goals and opeartional excellence in finance workforce management and supply chain.

As a key advisor to executive leadership the ERP Operations Director will establish a program assurance strategy that is driven by key metrics and organizational change management initiatives. Additionally this role provides functional oversight via a dotted-line relationship with the Workday-supporting teams across the functional areas. 

Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Product Ownership 

Define and maintain the Workday ERP optimization roadmap and adoption strategy in collaboration with senior executives business stakeholders and cross-functional leadership.

Lead Workday ERP governance model to ensure prioritization and alignment of business-as-usual activities product enhancements innovation and optimization initiatives.

Recommend and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) of product performance and growth opportunities that drive ROI and operational excellence in HR Finance and Supply Chain.

Drive Workday ERP reporting and analytics strategy ensuring data integrity and compliance while enabling real-time informed decision making by executive and business leadership.

Spearhead innovation and automation by uncovering emerging Workday capabilities and integrating industry-leading practices to build a future-ready ERP ecosystem aligned with AI-driven organizational strategies.

Governance Planning & Delivery

Leverage established change control processes to ensure enterprise alignment risk mitigation and value realization across all Workday domains.

Oversee change management including communication and training efforts for Workday-related initiatives that drive ongoing user adoption.

Continuously assess priorities production support structure and resource capacity ensuring system maintenance bi-annual releases and product innovation is supported.

Maintain an agile mindset and drive continuous improvement in product performance and the user experience. 

Stakeholder Engagement & Value Realization

Engage with hospital Finance HR Supply Chain and IT leaders to assess needs gather feedback and align product capabilities with strategic goals.

Own and advance user experience data integrity and system optimization initiatives across all domains.

Provider regular product performance updates and roadmap progress to executive leadership.

Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

Directly Manage:

ERP Program Assurance Manager: responsible for executing program adoption initiatives monitoring and reporting risks tracking KPIs and facilitating cross-functional activities.

Principal Trainer: accountable for ERP education strategy training content and approach to drive end user adoption.

Guide influence and collaborate with functional leaders and their teams through a matrixed reporting model to deliver cohesive coordinated ERP outcomes; ensure consistency among each domain's Workday support team.

Act as the primary liaison between business units and technical Information Services teams to ensure product integrity and stakeholder satisfaction; direct contact with executive leadership.

Serve as the point of escalation for functional and technical domains to move decisions forward.

Other information:

Education

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration Information Sytems Healthcare Administration or related field required; Master's degree preferred.

Experience

10+ years of experience in ERP leadership roles including at least 5 years of Workday experience.

Proven track record of leading cross-functional product teams and delivering enterprise-scale ERP solutions.

Deep expertise in Workday ERP modules; Finance HCM and Supply Chain.

Strong understanding of healthcare operational financial and human capital workflows.

Exceptional leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence without authority.

Proficient in agile methodologies product ownership and stakeholder engagement.

Strategic thinking with strong analytical organizational and problem-solving abilities.
