SUMMARY
Performs diagnostic cardiology procedures and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by, or at the request of, a licensed practitioner. Provides appropriate patient care (newborn, infant, child, adolescent, adult, geriatric). MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- One to three years experience preferred, but not required.
- Knowledge of cardiovascular technology, cardiac pathophysiology, hemodynamics.
- EKG recordings: prep, technique, and lead placements.
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks/projects.
- Good communication skills, ethical and professional conduct, good understanding of age-related developmental issues of pediatrics and geriatrics.
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed, weekend rotate.
- Must be able to demonstrate a high degree of concentration, memory retention, alertness, and the ability to handle stress with quick response to assigned duties.
EDUCATION
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Successful completion of dysrhythmia course
- BLS required
