Summary: Responsible to provide recruitment services that ensure the attraction
selection and retention of high quality employees for which a nursing license
is required including Registered Nurses Graduate Nurses Licensed Practical
Nurses and nursing leaders.
Develops and implements innovative nurse recruitment strategies and
networking activities. Ensures qualified quality candidates are identified
screened and presented to the hiring manager in a timely and professional
manner. Oversees the recruitment process to include oversight of the applicant
tracking process candidate identification and screening coordination of
interview and selection activities offer negotiation and finalization. Informs
applicants of employment procedures policies and benefits and conducts reference
checks. Acts as a liaison with Directors and Managers regarding nurse
recruitment. Knows and understands the systems and processes of HR including
source and repository of all HR data.
Responsibilities: PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Works with hiring managers to ensure effective and compliant hiring practices and acts as a liaison with management regarding nurse recruitment. Determines eligibility for relocation assistance sign-on bonuses and education expense programs. Manages processes as required. Maintains an understanding of policies procedures past practices employment law and the repository of all employment data. Analyzes recruitment policies and processes for efficiency and to assist with the EEO audit process. Oversees the recruitment process to include oversight of the applicant tracking process candidate identification and screening coordination of interview and selection activities offer negotiation and initial orientation. Establishes a welcoming environment for applicants. Identifies and overcomes challenges and objections during offer process using sound decision-making and selling skills. Demonstrates proficiency and is an advocate of new and emerging HR recruitment systems or tools. Conducts college campus recruiting visits and assists in the development of Graduate Nurse and Nurse Extern recruitment programs. Works with HR Business Partners to re-deploy displaced employees and with Worker's Compensation Specialists to place employees on limited duty where appropriate. Develops short- and long-term recruitment strategies for recruitment specific to client needs. Plans coordinates and participates in external recruitment events and strategies including advertising web-based processes conventions open houses and job fairs.
Sources prospective candidates. Reviews applications using an applicant tracking system and conducts telephone screens with Registered Nurses LPN's and other nursing candidates.
Provides qualified pre-screened applicants to hiring manager schedules and coordinates interviews and manages multiple priorities in a manner that meets established deadlines.
Informs applicants of employment procedures policies and benefits and initiates reference checks. Researches and establishes pay rate/salary offers for new hires or transferring staff. Consults with hiring managers and compensation staff as needed.
Communicates effectively verbally and in writing employs tact and diplomacy in all business dealings builds customer service oriented relationships with hiring managers works effectively with individuals from diverse background and differing levels within the organization. Performs other duties as assigned.
Other information: QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree preferred. KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Proficiency in PC desktop tools Microsoft Office and Internet technology required. Proficiency with applicant tracking systems. Knowledge of employment laws. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Healthcare recruiting experience preferred. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: None.
3 years� experience as a recruiter required. Ability to travel approximately 5% of the time. Some travel may require overnight stays.
