Nursing Program Manager

Position Summary

The Program Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of a hospital-based nursing research, process improvement, and innovation program. This role provides administrative, logistical, and project management support to ensure smooth coordination of activities that advance nursing scholarship, evidence-based practice, and innovation. The coordinator will facilitate communication, organize educational sessions, track projects, and support the dissemination of outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all aspects of program operations, including scheduling seminars, workshops, council meetings, and other events.
  • Serve as the central point of contact for program communication and correspondence.
  • Maintain project trackers, dashboards, and follow-up processes to ensure timely progress.
  • Support planning for guest speakers, educational sessions, and training events.
  • Assist with the intake, review, and tracking of proposals for research and quality improvement projects.
  • Collaborate with nurse leaders, frontline nurses, and academic partners to support program initiatives.
  • Assist with the preparation of reports for hospital leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Provide administrative support for conference participation and professional development activities.

Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.

Experience

  • 3–5 years of professional nursing experience in an acute care or academic setting.
  • Prior involvement in program coordination, research, or quality improvement preferred.

Skills

  • Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines and levels.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based practice, nursing research, and Lean methodologies preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and digital collaboration tools.

Credentials

  • Current Rhode Island RN license.
  • National certification in administration, quality, or research coordination preferred.

Pay Range

$97,718.40-$195,436.80
