Registered Nurse I

Summary:

TEMPORARY CAP Asthma Camp Nurse ensures the health and safety of all on-site campers Team members and visitors; administers basic first aid and medications and responds to emergencies as necessary. 

Responsibilities:

Participate in all CAP Asthma Camp Team Trainings as required.

Monitor health of campers and Team members participating in camp activities. Administer medication(s) and care as needed and appropriately document medical issues actions taken and medication administration. Communicate with camp medical provider and supervisors.

Assist parents and Team members with medical and health questions. Support asthma education with campers.

During daily camper pick up and drop off review medications and documentation for accuracy and compliance with camp guidelines appropriately document medication and medical information and ensure appropriate exchange of medication between camp and camper guardians on each camp day.

Educate Team members on health and safety policies and procedures including but not limited to basic first aid Epi-Pen proper inhaler technique and serve as a resource for emergency response procedures.

Manage camp Nurse�s office/area; ensure the office/area is clean organized and well-maintained.

Maintain supply inventory; inform Camp Directors of any necessary purchases.

Work effectively with co-workers as a team and collaborate on various responsibilities.

Serve as a positive role model to campers and Team members.

Exhibit CAP Asthma Camp Core Values at all times and adhere to all Company Policies.

Become acquainted with the organizations of med order and supplies on site.

Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: 

 Pediatric nursing experience 

Proven success in working with children with medical conditions including but not limited to asthma and food allergies
