SUMMARY

Provides health care services to assist in diagnosis or treatment. Performs radiographic procedures and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by or at the request of a licensed practitioner.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Knowledge of radiographic procedures, equipment operation, radiation safety, positioning techniques, patient transfers
• Good communication skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects
• Ethical and professional conduct
• Good understanding of age-related developmental issues of pediatrics and geriatrics
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed as well as on-call duty, weekend rotations
• Interest in participating in orientation/clinical education of student radiographers in accordance with clinical education center guidelines for radiologic technology program(s)

EDUCATION:

• Graduate of Certificate Program in Radiography or Associate in Science Degree
• Certification by ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) in radiography. Licensure by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in Radiography. *For recent radiologic technology graduate only: ARRT registered certification eligibility in Radiography with RT(R); must obtain registered certification within 12 months of hire and prior to the expiration of a temporary Massachusetts DPH Radiologic Technologist Radiography (Full/General) license.
• BLS required.
